The story of our company begins in 1959 when Sam Rosenberg, who had experienced a few failed start-ups earlier in his adulthood but found great success as a traveling salesman of general merchandise in the 1950s, decided to establish his own successful business before retirement. At the young age of 59, he founded the S. Rosenberg Christmas Co., importing Christmas and Easter novelties and dolls from Japan.
In April 1963, Sam's son-in-law, Stanley Geller, bought the business, which by then had a revenue of approximately $500,000, and renamed it Funworld, Easter Unlimited. Stanley continued to travel to Japan by propeller plane on buying trips, developing strong relationships with factories there, and selling goods by traveling the roads of the USA in a station wagon filled with samples, going from Minneapolis to Miami, Boston to Bentonville, New York to New Orleans and everywhere in between. Despite the challenges, the business grew steadily with the help of many people.
Over the years, Funworld expanded its sourcing operations, working with factories not only in Japan but also in Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. When President Nixon opened China in 1973, it quickly became the main source of supply for the company.
As for the product details, the fabric used is 100% Polyester, and the care instructions state that the item should be hand-washed only. The product is of White Ruffle look and is Imported.
